The women of Highland Hills wear many hats. They are mothers, daughters, wives, sisters and aunts. They are teachers, ministers, businesswomen, homemakers, health professionals, and artists. But even with their varying talents and gifts, they each need a place to grow in their faith and to experience the fellowship found within the bonds of Christian sisterhood.

Highland Hills seeks to offer various opportunities for spiritual growth and fellowship for the women within this faith community. Many women enjoy the offerings of a small group study held in the homes of our members. Past groups have journeyed together through the “Companions in Christ” curriculum, and others have worked through short-term studies such as, The Cup of Your Life, by Joyce Rupp and Catch Your Breath, by Don Postema.

Our ladies especially enjoy our semi-annual retreat to Epworth By the Sea on St. Simons Island. This time for getting away has been a strong tool in creating a close bond among our women, while also providing them the chance to relax and refresh their spirits.

Other retreats are held closer to home, such as the Advent Preparation Retreat that is held each year in November. This retreat gives our women the chance to prepare their hearts and minds for the Advent season. One of the highlights of this retreat is the opportunity to be creative as the ladies spend time crafting something to take home or give away as a reminder of the meaning of this very special season.

Highland Hills is a church that honors, cultivates, and encourages the gifts of its women. The women of Highland Hills are friends and sisters who seek to serve and worship God in this place.
